Indianapolis Recorder collaborates with Horsemen Sports to host toy drive for Indy

In a continued effort to support the Indianapolis community, Horsemen Sports Media and the Indianapolis Recorder, alongside The Recorder Charities, announced a partnership to distribute toys to local families this holiday season.
The collaboration brings together two of the city’s Black-owned media platforms to ensure youth in Indianapolis have a memorable holiday.
“I am honored to announced that Horsemen Sports Media will be partnering with The Indianapolis Recorder to give back to the community this holiday season,” Owner of Horsemen Sports Media Noral Parham III said. “We want to be deeply engrained in the same community that gave us our start.”

The initiative is bolstered by a significant contribution from Pacers Sports & Entertainment (PS&E), which donated the majority of the toys for the drive. This partnership highlights a shared commitment to community service between the organizations.
Horsemen Sports Media, a growing sports media outlet in Indianapolis, and the Indianapolis Recorder, the nation’s fourth-oldest African American newspaper in its 130th year, frequently cover the intersection of sports and community impact. The toy drive translates that coverage into direct action.
PS&E’s involvement underscores the organization’s consistent presence in local philanthropy. The donation from the Pacers’ parent company ensures that the drive will have a substantial inventory of gifts to distribute to children across the city.
More information will become availble regarding the distribution of toys at a later date.
